Position Overview

Meridian Manufacturing is seeking a detail-oriented CNC Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team in Ballston Spa, NY. This role is responsible for ensuring machined parts meet strict quality standards through first article, in-process, and final inspection using precision measurement tools.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on CNC machined parts

· Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings

· Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs

· Document nonconforming materials and initiate quality reports

· Inspect incoming raw materials to verify specifications

· Maintain inspection records, including first article inspections

· Communicate quality issues with machinists and management

· Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement

· Verify calibration and condition of inspection tools

· Ensure all parts meet customer specifications prior to shipment

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. 1–3 years of CNC machining or manufacturing experience preferred. Strong experience with precision measuring tools and ability to read engineering drawings required. GD&T knowledge preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

CNC machine shop environment with exposure to machinery, coolant, metal chips, and noise. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
