Job Summary
To develop a proactive manufacturing environment to better serve our Customers and benefit our stakeholders. The primary responsibility will be to work with all the management team to achieve the company goal while committed to the philosophy that recognizes the worth of every employee and the value of every Customer. The Production Manager is responsible for the coordination and effectiveness of all production activities including die cast and secondary operations.
Major Responsibilities of the Position
- To monitor and manage the workforce to the workforce plan conducting audits at regular intervals to reduce non- standard operations and wasted labor. To minimize the need for overtime through efficient use of labor and it's scheduling. To have a satisfied workforce through good employee relations resulting in good retention and attendance.
- Uptime improvements monitored and managed to reach OEE targets on all equipment. To maintain and improve cycle times to meet or exceed plant targets.
- To maintain proper inventory levels to ensure meeting Customer schedules establishing triggers to prevent over build or under build. The goal is 100% on time delivery, while not exceeding an inventory level exceeding four days of finished goods, or five days of WIP.
Education, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business required.
- Manufacturing experience including die cast or secondary/machining and assembly experience 5 to 10 years required.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Must demonstrate leadership ability and previous supervisory experience in manufacturing environment required.
- Trained on standard work and Lean principles. Proficient in Microsoft office.

Salary : $80,000 - $130,000
