Meridian Land Surveying is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer for our team in Flint, Michigan to work on a variety of Site Development and Civil Design projects. The role is open to an experienced dynamic individual to design, develop, and oversee a multitude of civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet local, county, and state regulatory standards. You will contribute innovative solutions to project needs while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare engineering plans and technical drawings using AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred), including site layout, grading, and drainage systems
- Design and model stormwater retention and detention systems to manage runoff and meet regulatory requirements
- Compile engineering documentation and permit submittals including stormwater management, erosion control, geotechnical coordination, and site development approvals
- Ensure designs meet local, state, and federal regulations and environmental standards
- Prepare and maintain design reports, calculations, budgets, and project documentation
- Communicate with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies as part of the permitting and review process
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 5-10 years of professional experience in civil engineering, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Michigan.
- Proficient in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant modeling tools.
- Proficient in word processing software equivalent to Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Ability to multi-task under rigid deadlines.
PREFERRED:
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.

Salary : $85,000 - $125,000
