What You’ll Do
As a Patient Service Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive a seamless, welcoming experience from start to finish.
Daily Responsibilities Include
- Greeting and assisting patients and visitors with a warm, professional attitude
- Managing patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and check-in/check-out procedures
- Handling phone calls and inquiries with courtesy and accuracy
- Performing point-of-service tasks such as co-pay collection and visit preparation
- Supporting patients with NextGen Patient Portal setup and use
- Encouraging adoption of front-end technology for a smoother care experience
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and data accuracy at all times
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2 years of experience in patient registration, medical front desk, or customer service (healthcare preferred)
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy medical office
- Associate degree may substitute for one year of experience; Bachelor’s degree may substitute for two years
