We’re looking for a Quality Control Berry Inspector to join our quality team during our peak season. This role is perfect for someone who has a sharp eye for detail, a passion for fresh produce, and takes pride in ensuring only the best berries make it to our customers. We grow, package, and sell berries including: strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries.

The main responsibilities for this role is to monitor and inspect the quality of perishable products in the warehouse on an ongoing basis and performing other related duties as needed. Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in order to perform duties directly related to the general operation of the facility.
Main Responsibilities:
- Inspect inbound and outbound produce daily to approve the quality of make certain that all product that is set up for shipping is up to acceptable standards. Ensure that all required documentation is with the order, verify quality, and quantities before it gets loaded and document.
- Create and send Quality Control Reports in a timely manner and report any issues with your supervisor.
- Communicate with the sales team needed on all quality issues and assist them in resolving them to ensure the customer receives the highest quality products possible.
- Observe and follow all safety rules, regulations, and sanitation policies.
- Ensure products are being rotated properly during daily slot checking and communicate any problems with rotation to the stockers and/or supervisor.
- Monitor variance reports for accurate accounting of spoilage, warehouse damage, truck damage, etc.
- Greet all internal and external customers in a friendly and efficient manner to ensure that proper customer service is maintained, customer satisfaction, and organizational efficiency are enhanced.
- Analyze, identify, and propose action to the solution of problems associated with Quality Assurance.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Physical and Environmental Conditions Working Conditions:
- Extreme temperature changes, extended hours, and repeated lifting/restacking product as needed. Must wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for your position.
- Some Travel May be Required: 10%
Equipment/Software Knowledge (Preferred):
- Famous, Microsoft Office Suite, and WhatsApp. Must be able to operate a forklift, pallet jack, temperature probe, scales, and refractors.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Languages: Bilingual (preferred, but not required)
Experience: Similar position 1 -3 years minimum; preferably with berries.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Standard hours Monday - Saturday 3pm to Close.(may change) Days off include Sundays and one week day; but may change based on business demands. Potential to also have every other Saturday off, but not guaranteed.
