Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to foster a welcoming atmosphere
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, accurately, and with attention to presentation standards
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including table settings and service stations
- Buss tables promptly during and after events to maintain cleanliness and readiness for new guests
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, wine pairings, and beverage options
- Handle food safety protocols diligently, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems for order processing and billing with precision
- Support catering staff in food preparation and delivery to ensure smooth event flow
- Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Prior experience in the food industry or catering environments is highly desirable
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for billing and order accuracy
- Familiarity with wine knowledge, beverage service, and fine dining etiquette preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods during events
