Position Title: Child Resource Specialist (Grant Sponsored - Anticipated to end April 2026)
Location: Gainesville, FL
Salary: $17.34|hour | Non-exempt

This position is grant-sponsored and benefit-eligible, with a fixed term anticipated to conclude April 2026, upon the expiration of the grant.

About the Role

As a Child Resource Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the operational excellence and strategic direction of Meridian. You will:

• Track and tally required services provided.
• Meet quality and quantity of services benchmarks.
• Records every activity engaged in on behalf of a client daily in electronic health records.
• Researches, develops, and maintains a comprehensive list of community resources that includes addresses, phone numbers, and names of contacts for each resource.
• Performs all other duties as required to meet program and departmental goals.
• Table outreach events. 
• Provide monitoring of youth/children when requested by parents during parent's involvement, engagement, discussion, and applications/processes for resources/entitlements.
• Assist with and provide service as outlined in the development of the community Outreach Plan of Action to assist in meeting deliverables of grant.
• Links citizens with services for children or special needs citizens and resources identified in the Community Plan.
• Maintain contact with all staff/agencies providing services to monitor clients' progress and assess appropriateness of services.
• Serves as a resource to citizens with services for children or citizens with special needs and other community agencies.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
• 1 year experience in Care Management with primary care, Clinical Support System for Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or similar populations. This may include experience in case management, community organizing, or working with local organizations.
