IT Project Manager - Distribution & Logistics
Role OverviewThe IT Project Manager (D&L) leads end-to-end delivery of technology projects across a global distribution network-planning, orchestrating, and executing initiatives from discovery through hypercare. The role partners closely with Distribution & Logistics leadership and the Digital & Technology PMO, ensuring portfolio alignment, stakeholder engagement, and measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Own full project lifecycle (initiation planning build test cutover stabilization/hypercare) for D&L technology projects
- Plan and run hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery using tools like Smartsheet and Jira; drive RAID management, stage gates, and executive-ready status communications
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across DC Operations, Supply Chain, PMO, and Corporate Finance
- Lead vendor/partner management (e.g., 3PL providers and their IT teams) through contracts, change requests, SLAs, and operational readiness; track incident and change pipelines through hypercare to "path-to-green"
- Drive integrations across platforms such as Manhattan Active WMS, SAP S/4HANA, Infor Nexus, EDI, and related product creation systems (e.g., Trasix) where D&L workflows intersect
- Budget & forecast ownership in partnership with PMO and Finance, managing PERs, RITMs, and WBS allocations per established approval processes
- Ensure risk, compliance, and controls: auditability, change governance, and data/security standards across DC environments.
- 7 10 years managing complex IT projects in distribution, logistics, or supply chain environments with multi-site DC operations
- Proven delivery across WMS/TMS/ERP/EDI landscapes; hands-on experience coordinating cutovers and hypercare for DC projects
- Experience with Manhattan Active WMS, SAP S/4HANA, Infor Nexus, Kronos/UKG, Jira, Smartsheet, and ServiceNow is a plus
- Strong vendor management (SOWs, CRs, SLAs), stakeholder communication, and executive reporting skills
- Excellent RAID discipline and ability to translate operational constraints into technical plans
- Delivery Leadership: Ownership of scope, schedule, and budget with disciplined change control
- Stakeholder Engagement: Builds trust with DC Ops, Finance, PMO, and executive sponsors; provides concise, data-driven updates
- Technical Acumen: Understands DC systems and integration touchpoints to de-risk plans
- Operational Mindset: Designs cutover/hypercare plans that protect service levels and customer commitments
- Continuous Improvement: Uses metrics to drive throughput, accuracy, and cost efficiency
- Ability to travel to distribution centers and partner sites as needed to support cutovers and hypercare
