Job Summary:
Provide on site childcare during church service at 1000 Long Lake Road, New Brighton. Sundays from 1:00pm-3:00pm plus approximately once a month extended hours 1:00pm-4:30pm and occasional special events on both weekday and weekend evenings (advance notice will be given at least two weeks before events). Pay is $20.00 per hour.
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Primarily responsible for children ages 6 months - 6 years.
● Provide a safe, healthy, loving, and nurturing care environment, which fosters physical,
social, personal, creative, and language development in children.
● Provide direct care and supervision to the children.
● Administer snacks and/or bottles as provided by parents/guardians
● Cooperatively work with staff and volunteers to engage children in appropriate activities.
● Inform families of our childcare policies and practices during sign-in and sign-out.
● Model a flexible attitude and respect diversity, culture, and lifestyle of staff, volunteers,
and children.
● Respect and maintain the confidentiality of children and families at all times.
● Serve as a mandated reporter.
● Light cleaning and room reset.
Skills and Qualifications:
● All Childcare Providers must be at least 18 years of age
● Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
● Experience working with children.
● Experience working with neurodivergent children preferred.
● Dependable and Reliable.
● Ability to problem solve under pressure and to do multiple tasks.
● Minimum Physical Requirements:
○ Ability to lift 40 pounds.
○ Ability to sit on the floor with ability to rise quickly.
○ Ability to hear a child speaking or crying.
● CPR & First Aid Certified or willing to complete certification before employment
(Employer provided training if needed).
● Satisfactory completion of background check.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
