Role Overview
Looking for a Data Governance Engineer with hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric and/or Purview to implement enterprise data governance for large-scale programs.
Key Skills
- Hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Fabric governance (workspaces, domains, access, sharing)
- Microsoft Purview (catalog, classification, lineage, glossary)
- Strong understanding of:
- Data lineage, metadata management, business glossary
- Data classification, sensitivity labeling, governance workflows
- Experience with:
- Data governance implementation (stewardship, ownership, policies)
- RBAC / access control (Azure AD / Entra or similar)
- Cloud data platforms/lakehouse architectures
Responsibilities
- Implement data governance using Fabric Purview
- Configure catalog, lineage, classification, and access controls
- Define and enforce data governance policies and workflows
- Enable data product governance (certification, sharing controls)
- Align governance with security, compliance, and platform teams
Good to Have
- Experience integrating Purview with enterprise tools (Atlan/Collibra)
- Familiarity with Data Mesh governance patterns and data product operating models
- Experience implementing data quality governance tooling and scorecards
- Knowledge of privacy/security frameworks (ISO, SOC2 concepts, GDPR-like principles)
Salary : $65 - $70
