Description:
We are a disabled couple seeking 2–3 reliable dog care assistantsto share responsibility for our 7-month-old Chihuahua/Cockapoo mix, Saturn. He is a service dog in training and requires consistent, structured care throughout the day.
We are building a small, dependable care teamto ensure coverage and flexibility.
Responsibilities:
- Walk Saturn 2–3 times per day (10 minutes each)
- Provide 2 additional quick bathroom breaks (total ~5 outings/day)
- Feed him after walks
- Engage in play and enrichment
- Clean up accidents as needed
- Reinforce training (potty training, crate training, basic commands)
- Ensure safety and supervision
Schedule:
- 2–3 visits per day (shared between team members)
- Each visit ~45–60 minutes
- Flexible scheduling (we will coordinate shifts among team members)
Pay:
- $20 per visit
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience with puppies or dogs in training
- Reliable and communicative
- Comfortable working in a home with disabled individuals
- Patient and consistent
- Dog training experience is a plus
Important:
This is a team-based role, but reliability is critical. Saturn’s progress as a service dog depends on consistent care.
