What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver Personal Care Assistant position at Meredith Martin?
We are seeking a warm, dependable Personal Care Assistant to support Meredith Martin, a 29 year old woman with cerebral palsy! Meredith uses a wheelchair and is looking for someone who enjoys helping with daily routines and getting out into the community.
What you will help with
- Dressing and undressing
- Meal preparation
- Restroom assistance
- Showering
- Light housework such as laundry, dishes, mopping, wiping counters, and making the bed
- Driving Meredith to fun outings, errands, and medical appointments
You will use your own reliable, low vehicle with no SUVs or trucks. A valid driver’s license is required. Mileage is reimbursed at 70 cents per mile for gas and vehicle use. Meredith’s fiancée (Kayla) and service dog may join the outings occasionally.
Meredith has a service dog, Saturn, a four month old chihuahua mix. You will help with simple care like feeding, bathroom breaks, and keeping him safe. Dog friendly applicants only.
You must be available to work at least one federal holiday per year. Federal holiday pay is 33 dollars per hour.

Open positions
- Per diem as needed
- Monday through Friday 12 pm to 6 pm (30 hours per week)
- Monday through Friday 7 pm to 10 pm (15 hours per week)
Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant is preferred but not required. On the job training will be provided. If you are caring, reliable, and enjoy making a real difference, we would love to hear from you!
