Digital and Radio Advertising Consultant
Meredith Communications is looking for a Digital and Radio Advertising Consultant to join our sales and marketing team.
This position works with area businesses to develop advertising and marketing plans using our radio stations, website, mobile app, and digital products. The right candidate will be comfortable building relationships, prospecting for new business, and helping clients find advertising solutions that fit their goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage advertising accounts.
- Build relationships with new and existing clients.
- Travel to area businesses and meet with clients in person. Regular face-to-face contact with businesses is an important part of this position.
- Create customized radio and digital advertising plans.
- Write effective advertising copy and scripts.
- Prospect for new business through calls, meetings, networking, and other outreach.
- Present advertising solutions to clients.
- Help clients with basic digital and social media advertising.
- Maintain strong communication and follow-up with clients.
- Represent Meredith Communications at community and business events.
What We're Looking For
- Sales or marketing experience preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable prospecting for new business, making sales calls, and meeting with businesses in person.
- Organized and able to manage multiple client accounts and projects.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, social media, and digital platforms.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing to a team.
- Reliable transportation and an unrestricted driver's license.
A degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field is helpful, but not required.
