What You Will Do
- Coordinate medication access solutions including prior authorizations, formulary exceptions, and patient assistance programs.
- Support HEDIS and Medicare Part D Star measures through medication adherence initiatives and quality improvement activities.
- Collaborate with pharmacists, providers, and care teams to resolve medication barriers.
- Monitor and document medication-related quality metrics and interventions.
- Communicate with payers, pharmacies, and manufacturers to facilitate timely patient access.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic health record and related systems.
- Assist with reporting, audits, and process improvement related to medication access and quality outcomes.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) – active and in good standing.
- Iowa Board of Pharmacy Certified Pharmacy Technician License
- High School diploma or GED required
- Completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training for child and dependent adult abuse within three (3) months of hire
- 5–7 years of pharmacy technician experience, preferably in population health, managed care, or specialty pharmacy.
- Demonstrated experience with HEDIS and Medicare Part D Star measures.
- Strong knowledge of insurance plans, formularies, and prior authorization processes.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in a Population Health or Accountable Care Organization (ACO) setting.
- Familiarity with medication adherence programs and quality reporting.
- Advanced experience working with EHRs and population health tools.
