What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Day Shift Custodial / Maintenance position at Mercyhurst Preparatory School?
Mercyhurst Preparatory School is looking for a reliable, self-motivated, and experienced part-time DAY SHIFT custodial / maintenance employee to join our Laker family. Responsibilities will focus on making sure that the cafeteria and other parts of the school are maintained properly. We offer a friendly work environment and an MPS tuition assistance benefit.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Vacuum, sweep and clean various floors and other surfaces
· Utilize housekeeping standards for countertops and desks
· Empty and segregate trash to maximize recycling potential
· Sanitize and stock restrooms
· Communicate supply inventory needs
· Maintain and work with various cleaning equipment
· Complete additional work when assigned
· Follow all safety procedures
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
· Custodial experience (preferred but not required)
· Familiar with cleaning products and techniques
· Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
· Must have reliable transportation
· Must have proper clearances
Successful candidates will be required to submit acceptable PA Child Abuse Clearances, PA Criminal History Clearance, FBI fingerprints as well Diocesan Youth Protection and Mandated reporter trainings.
