Role Description The Cardiology/Electrophysiology Clinic Nurse is a full-time, on-site role based in Janesville, WI, supporting patients with cardiovascular and electrophysiology conditions in an outpatient clinic setting. This role includes performing patient intake and assessments, obtaining medical histories, vital signs, and medication lists, and preparing individuals for diagnostic testing and provider evaluations. The nurse collaborates with cardiologists and electrophysiologists to coordinate care plans, provide patient education on procedures, medications, device management, and lifestyle changes, and support follow-up care. Daily responsibilities also involve triaging patient calls, managing symptom concerns, assisting with in-clinic procedures, documenting care in the electronic health record, and participating in quality and safety initiatives. The nurse works closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely communication, continuity of care, and a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin (and/or Illinois, as applicable), in good standing.
- Clinical experience in cardiology, electrophysiology, or related acute/ambulatory care settings.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and care coordination.
- Proficiency with electronic health records, documentation, and basic clinical technologies.
- Effective communication, active listening, and patient education skills, including ability to explain complex cardiac concepts clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, while managing time, tasks, and multiple priorities in a busy clinic environment.
- Commitment to compassionate, culturally sensitive care and adherence to safety, quality, and infection-control standards.
- BLS certification required; ACLS and specialty certification in cardiology or ambulatory care are beneficial.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; BSN strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in outpatient clinic nursing, device (pacemaker/ICD) management, or cardiac diagnostics is a plus.
