Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs vascular ultrasound procedures for interpretation by physicians. Provides the patient care essential to vascular ultrasound procedures. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Position Details:
Loan Repayment Assistance Program up to $20,000 Lifetime: The Imaging Loan Repayment Assistance Program provides financial support to our Mercy Imaging co-workers in a 24X7 hospital based eligible position who are in a .4 FTE and above, working 32 hours or more per pay period. The program offers monthly payments made directly to the loan servicer up to the amount of $370 per month and up to $20,000 for a lifetime maximum.
Qualifications:
- Experience: More than two (2) years experience as a cardiovascular sonographer. Credit may be given if experience was received with on the job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound.
- Required Education: Graduated from a school of sonography OR received on the job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound.
- Certifications: ARDMS/RVT or ARDMS/RDCS or CCI/RVS. IV certification is required. BLS
- Other: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:-- Performs all routine exams--Must perform stress tests/TEE (where applicable in primary dept)-- IV certified-- Perform one or more of the following special procedures: EVLT, RF ablations, TCD OR May be a Merge cardio super user and/or super user for other technology/equipment
