The Stroke Coordinator is responsible for delivering specialized nursing care to stroke patients. This role involves providing personalized support to patients entering and exiting the healthcare system following ischemic or hemorrhagic strokes. Responsibilities include offering clinical expertise for patient care, ensuring continuity of care, educating patients and families, and fostering collaboration among the multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate from a school of nursing is required.
- Experience: 1 year experience in acute care.
- Licensure: Active RN license in state of practice is required.
- Certification(s): Annual stroke education hours and competencies, ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)
