Overview:

This position provides the necessary administrative leadership, planning, direction, and management control for the facility maintenance and non-strategic construction services within an assigned hospital campus. The assigned hospital campus will include clinics, and other off campus properties assigned to the main hospital campus. The Facility Maintenance and Operations department within the assigned hospital campus will report directly to the Senior Manager position. This position may also provide administrative leadership for other support service departments such as HTM, Food Services, Environmental Services, Public Safety, Safety, and Emergency Management as required by Mercy Health. The purpose of this position is to ensure effective management of the functions supporting an exceptional Environment of Care for Mercy Health. Scope of responsibility includes hospital campus, clinics and other properties owned or leased within a specific Mercy Hospital Community.

Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience: :Minimum 5 years leading and developing innovative strategies that support construction and building maintenance programs. Must have exceptional knowledge of State, TJC, and CMS regulations. Must have strong project management skills and be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Required Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, or 5 years experience with emphasis in facilities management, mechanical systems design, and construction.
• Certifications:  Valid Drivers License for all Mercy locations. Class A/B Tank Operator Training and Certification required for all Mercy locations. Must achieve certification within 90 days of employment
• Other: Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to effectively build relationships at all levels of the organization. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to be flexible and creative in developing solutions that deliver results. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneously and to adapt to rapidly changing schedules, priorities, and workflow. Must have sound judgment and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills that deliver practical solutions. Ability to make programmatic changes and decisions derived from data and or regulatory research.
