What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN - Endo Preadmin Testing Part Time Days position at Mercy?
This is an Endoscopy Preadmission Testing position making preadmission phone calls before the procedure. Responsible for assessing patients referred by physicians to assure patients are appropriate. Assesses medical history, surgical and anesthesia history, medications and determines if any pretreatment or additional medical clearance is needed prior to procedure. Provides patient education as needed for procedure and medication management.This job code 12157N does not take call. The typcial hours are around 730/8am-5pm working 3 days a week.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
