Position Details

Patient Care Associate (PCA):
- Obtain and document vital signs
- Assist patients with daily care needs including meals, bathing, toileting, mobility, and transport
- Provide clerical and unit support as needed
(Includes PCA duties, plus additional skills)
- Phlebotomy and blood cultures
- Enteral feeding and wound care
- IV and Foley catheter removal
- Tracheostomy care and suctioning
- No experience required – we’ll train you
- Complete a 175-hour Mercy training program (meets state requirements)
- BLS certification required within 1 month of hire
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required
- CNA preferred but not required
- Students in healthcare career programs and current Mercy co-workers encouraged to apply
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting
