OverviewResponsible and accountable for providing technical support services to professional nursing staff and functions under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Performs indirect patient care activities through a well-planned and well-organized course of instruction. The ORA follows the philosophy, mission, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of Mercy outpatient surgery department.

Qualifications
Education: High School graduate or equivalent required.
Licensure:
Experience: Clinical experience of at least one year in a hospital or outpatient surgery center preferred. Successful completing of planned, instructional, operating room sponsored course required.
Certifications: CPR (can be completed after hire).

Physical Requirements:
• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
