Overview:
The MRI Staff Technologist works under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor and/or Director, and operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies Selects appropriate imaging techniques and operates console and peripheral hardware; enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to PACS.
Qualifications:
- Required Education: Secondary and some post-secondary. Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology Program.
- Certifications: ARRT (MR) Registry or ARMRIT required within 18 months of hire. BLS Basic Life Support Within 3 Months Of Hire.
- Other: Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Operate various types of office equipment, including a computer, fax machine, telephone, printer and copy machine.
