This pharmacy technician role works in the patient care areas to interview patients and patient families to collect the medication history about the patient. Contact outside pharmacies and physician offices to gather patient specific medication history. This person will bring together the different data sets and medication lists into one comprehensive record for the prescribers and nurses to use in the care of the patient.

Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma
Licensure: Must be eligible for state pharmacy technician registration in local state.
Certifications: PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification. PTCB Medication History Certificate
Experience: One or more years of pharmacy experience or relevant medication and patient handling experience. Additional community/retail pharmacy experience is preferred.
