What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mammography Technologist - Cancer Center position at Mercy?
Overview:
Provides screening and diagnostic mammography for interpretation by radiologists. If primary job assignment includes special procedures: assisting the radiologist in the performance of needle localizations and biopsies and provides the patient care essential to radiological procedures. Applies principles of radiation protection. Assists in general radiographic and office duties as needed. If primary job assignment is on the mammography van is able to drive the mobile unit to different sites throughout St. Louis and Franklin Counties.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours
- Experience: 1 years of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor's degree program
- Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT(R)(M)
