Monitors activities in swimming areas to prevent accidents and provide assistance to swimmers.

Monitors activities in swimming areas to prevent accidents and provide assistance to swimmers.
Qualifications
- Required:Licenses/Certifications: Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED within 60 days.Additional Licenses and Certifications: Lifeguard Certification within 60 Days.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Cautions swimmers regarding unsafe areas
- Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid
- Maintains order in swimming areas. Inspects facilities for cleanliness
- May determine chlorine content and pH value of water, using water testing kit
- May give swimming instructions
- Any other duties as needed to drive to the Vision, fulfill the Mission, and abide by the Values of the organization
