At Mercy Fort Smith, our Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) Service Line offers a dynamic and enriching environment across 8 specialized units, each providing unique experiences with diverse patient populations and a wide range of diagnoses.
Whether you're preparing patients for surgery or supporting them through recovery, you'll play a vital role in their healing journey. While you'll have a “home unit”, we believe in building well-rounded nurses—so we cross-train across specialties, giving you a strong foundation in various conditions, comorbidities, and procedures.

Qualifications:
- Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current LPN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- Certifications: Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probationary period. Must have ACLS and BLS or obtain within 90 days of hire.
