Overview:
Assists with the administration of medical records. Assure medical records (paper & electronic) are received, processed and scanned in a timely and accurate manner to support patient care, and the revenue management cycle. Performs a variety of technical and clerical functions in the HIM department in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1 year in an acute care medical records department or customer service role/ industry preferred.
- Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Other: Competencies:
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-starting, independent individual.
- Highly motivated and organized problem solver.
- Experience, basic analytical skills.Problem solving skills. Basic computer skills and Medical technology preferred.
