The floral designers lead duty is to create fresh floral designs to inspire and comfort patients. Designer must demonstrate a positive, outgoing and caring attitude towards all customers and patients. Must have the ability to compassionately supervise floral volunteers as they assist in the creation of arrangements and work collaboratively with co-workers. In addition to fresh florals, Designer must be knowledgeable of flowering plants and green plant care. Demonstrates the ability to work in all areas in the Gift Shop to ensure smooth operations. Reports to Gift Shop Manager. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Education: High School Diploma required.
Experience: 2-3 years experience in cash handling/retail in addition to 5 or more years of floral design experience preferred.
Other: Knowledge of POS system preferred. Requires good interpersonal skills, as well as good written and oral communication skills. Ability to work cooperatively with others as part of a team. Must have good organizational skills and have the ability to prioritize duties. Must be able to lift 40 lbs and stand 70% of shift
