Qualifications:
Minimum Required Qualifications
Education:High School plus specialized training (minimum 6 months)
Licensure:
- Valid Driver’s License for all Mercy locations
- Class A/B Tank Operator Training and Certification required for all Mercy locations. Must achieve certification within 90 days of employment.
- Mercy Arkansas Hospitals require High Pressure Boiler Operators License administered by Arkansas Dept. of Labor and Licensing where boilers are installed. Incumbents must have license. New hires must obtain licensure within 90 days of employment.
- EPA Universal Certification as required by 40CFR, Part 82, Subpart F for all Mercy locations. Must achieve certification within 12 months of employment.
- Fire door maintenance training program with certificate of completion. Incumbents must have training. New hires will be required to complete training within 90 days of employment.
- UL fire stop training with certificate of completion. Incumbents must have training. New hires will be required to complete training within 90 days of employment.
Experience:
- 4 or more years commercial experience working with HVAC, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
Other Skills and Knowledge:
- Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to effectively build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be flexible and creative in developing solutions that deliver results. Must maintain a valid drivers license.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneously and to adapt to rapidly changing schedules, priorities, and workflow.
- Must have sound judgment and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills that deliver practical solutions.
- Ability to make programmatic changes and decisions derived from data and or regulatory research.
- Must be able to type and proficient with use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: 2 or more year of training in a Technical or Vocational School.
Licensure: Boiler, HVAC, or Refrigeration. Electrical and or Plumbing.
Experience:5 or more years working in a facility maintenance position within a healthcare environment
