Responsible for the daily operations of all supply chain functions conducted within specific Mercy Communities. The Executive Director is also responsible for recommending and developing process improvement initiatives that support the Unified Supply Chain efforts. This includes, but is not limited to, integration of supply chain services with the hospital’s primary functions, implementation of policies and procedures that guide or support services, assess and improve supply chain performance, and ensure orientation and continuing education of appropriate team members. This position works closely with Senior Leadership, Mercy Strategic Supply Chain, and local facility leadership. Performs responsibilities in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and service standards of Mercy Health.

Position Details:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain, healthcare related focus. Master's degree is preferred.  7 years’ experience in a leadership and supply chain related role

• Possess advanced knowledge of managerial finance.
• Understand and observe sound business practices and principles
• Possess external knowledge of healthcare market influences concerning group purchasing activities.
• Understand efficient and current supply chain trends within the healthcare industry
• Understand basic clinical supply and equipment use and application.
• Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma, etc.) preferred
