Overview:
Transports equipment to the entrances and other areas throughout the Medical Center where equipment is being requested. Cleans equipment in the storage area and throughout the facility.Also assists as secondary Transporter with patients being transported by bed.Equipment is transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Proper Body Mechanics is also used while assisting with bed transports.Cleans equipment using proper cleaning supplies.Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Two years customer service experience preferred.
- Preferred Education: High School Diploma.
- Other: The physical demands described here are the representative of the minimums that must be met by an employee to perform all essential functions of the job. Most physical demands are below, plus: Minimal: kneeling or crouching, pinching, lifting up to 100 lbs. laterally and vertically (rare), data entry and hand coordination. Continuous: pushing up to 50 lbs., pulling up to 60 lbs., gripping up to 60 lbs. with both hands, balancing.
