Position: EMS Operations Supervisor - Paramedic (EMT-P)
Location: Mt Vernon
Hours / Shift: Full-Time, 24 Hour Shifts, 120 Hours Per Pay Period
Sign-On Bonus: May be eligible for up to $10,000
Overview:
Responsible for daily field operations and support of co-workers in the provision of pre-hospital triage, emergency medical care and transport. Responds to scenes as necessary in support of EMS personnel and other emergency services agencies, performing direct patient care including assessment, evaluation, and basic and advanced life support. Performs clerical, maintenance duties, and act as preceptors of EMT and Paramedic students when working regular shifts on an ambulance.
Job Duties:
- Assesses patient to promote optimal levels of wellness throughout pre-hospital care and hospitalization and implements patient care to assure comprehensive holistic care.
- Functions in leadership positions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Directs and supervises Emergency Medical Techs and Paramedics in the delivery and promotion of patient care and other daily activities.
- Under the direction of EMS Senior Leadership, functions in a supervisory and teaching mode in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Works with staff to develop proposals to improve internal methods of operations and customer service
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Paramedic (EMT-P) license for the state where employed, valid driver's license.
- Experience: Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Requires 5 years of field experience.
- Certifications: Hazmat awareness level training, ACLS at hire, PALS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- Other: May be required to work differing shifts and schedules.
