Locaton: Must live in the Arkansas area
Shift: FT Days/Evenings/Weekends - 40/hrs per week

Overview:
A community health worker is a front-line public health worker who is a trusted member of and/or has an unusually close understanding of the community served. This trusting relationship enables the worker to serve as a liaison/link between health/social services and the community to facilitate access to services and improve the quality and cultural competence of service delivery. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
Education:High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:1-3 years Community Health Work (CHW) experience
Certification/Registration: Basic Life Support
Other Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong relationship and collaboration skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Compassion for poor and underserved members of the community
- Epic electronic medical record
Preferred Certification/Registration:Community Health Worker Certification if available
Other Skills and Knowledge:Additional language skills as applicable to community
