Specialty Pharmacist - Oncology
Join Mercy's dedicated oncology team as a Specialty Pharmacist, where you'll play a vital role in supporting patients through complex cancer treatments. This position focuses on safe and effective medication management for oncology patients, serving as a clinical resource for physicians, nurses, and patients alike. You'll collaborate across disciplines to optimize therapeutic outcomes, ensure compliance with treatment protocols, and provide compassionate, expert guidance throughout the patient journey. Overview:
Works with members of the health care team to provide safe and effective drug therapy. Serves as a drug information resource to pharmacy, nursing, and medical staffs as well as to patients. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
Required Experience: Completed PGY-1 residency.
Preferred Experience: Completed PGY-2 residency in Oncology
Required Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) in pharmacy degree.
Certifications: Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) recommended
Licensure: Requires a current pharmacist license from state of practice.
