What You'll Do

As an ICU Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, you will:

• Review and optimize medication therapy for critically ill patients
• Collaborate with providers to develop individualized treatment plans
• Monitor patient outcomes and adjust therapies to ensure safe and effective care
• Identify and resolve medication-related issues, adverse reactions, and drug interactions
• Provide drug information and clinical consultation to physicians, nurses, and patients
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and patient care discussions
• Support formulary management, policy development, and quality initiatives
• Document clinical interventions and medication therapy recommendations
• Serve as a clinical resource and educator for pharmacy staff, students, and residents
• Contribute to medication safety and regulatory compliance efforts

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
• Current Pharmacist License in the state of practice
• Completion of a PGY-1 Residency or 4 years of hospital pharmacy experience in a specialty area
• Missouri pharmacists must obtain a Medication Therapy Services Certificate within 90 days of hire

Preferred

• PGY-2 Residency in Critical Care or related specialty
• Four or more years of clinical pharmacy experience
• Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) Certification or eligibility
• Previous experience precepting pharmacy students or residents
