What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist (Exempt) position at Mercy?
Works with members of the health care team to provide safe and effective drug therapy. Serves as a drug information resource to pharmacy, nursing, and medical staffs as well as to patients. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Education: Minimum requirement of Bachelor of Science (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) in pharmacy degree. Licensure: Requires a current pharmacist license from state of practice Experience: Completed PGY-1 or 4 years hospital pharmacy experience in specialty areaCertifications: Eligible for Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification (preferred in area of specialty practice)Other: Preferred Education: Preferred Licensure: Preferred Experience: Four or more years clinical experience and a PGY -2 residency is preferred.Preferred Certifications: Preferred Other:
