Clinical Educator: Critical Care
Department: Professional Practice Development Center
Status: Full Time (40hrs/wk)

Overview:
Delivers and coordinates the standardized new hire nursing orientation program for licensed coworkers in the Critical Care Nursing department. Responsible for developing and updating the core program in alignment with evidence-based practice. Oversees, precepts, and mentors new onboarding educators.
Qualifications:
- BSN/Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required or enrolled within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum of 2 years of RN clinical experience in ICU.
- Demonstrates clinical knowledge related to evidence-based practice with the credibility to positively influence the delivery of patient care.
- Proven ability to organize and multitask to meet project deadlines.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of audiovisual equipment is an advantage.
- Knowledge of equipment/technology used in delivery of patient care.
- Preferred:
- Master's in Education and/or teaching experience
- 2 years of teaching experience
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
- Additional life support certifications as required by specialty (ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, TNCC and/or ENPC)
