Shift: 24 hours/week, 6:30pm - 7:00am

Overview:
Under the supervision of the registered nurse, assist in the individualized care of the patient directed toward achieving the patients highest level of physical and mental wellness. Performs designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to nursing care. Assists in unit operational support tasks or duties. Performs duties and responsibilities in manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Completion Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or mental health related field OR Associate's degree plus experience in a behavioral health field OR minimum 3 years of experience in a behavioral health field.
- Preferred Experience: Behavioral Health, Psych, or Direct Support Professional.
- Other: Must have excellent oral and written skills, caring attitude, and assumption of responsibility. Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication at all times with patients, caregivers, and coworkers. Must be able to deal appropriately with stressful situations. Must be able to prioritize needs of patients for safety. Must be able to effectively work in a team environment. Job requires frequent lifting and positioning of patients.
