Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Paraprofessional at Mercy School for Special Learning, located in Allentown, PA. The Paraprofessional will provide support to students with special needs, assisting in academic, social, and daily living activities. Responsibilities include working closely with teachers and staff to implement individualized education programs (IEPs), supervising students during class and activities, and promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment. Additional tasks may include preparing instructional materials and supporting students in achieving their developmental goals.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience or willingness to work with children with special needs.
- Skills in communication, patience, empathy, and adaptability.
- Basic knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) is preferred but not required.
