What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide - PRN position at Mercy Regional Medical Center?
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English required.
Serv-Safe preferred but not required
Detail oriented- Paying attention to the detail and having the ability to properly follow instructions for food and nutrition needs, reading recipes, and meal orders.
Food handling experience – Food & Nutrition Aide follow directions and recipes for preparing food, using appropriate tools and utensils; they understand the rules and regulations involved in cooking
Time management – Food and Nutrition aides stick to strict meal schedules; they always arrive to work on time and make sure that their patients are fed at their designated hours, maintaining.
Hygienic practices – Safely handling food, Food and Nutrition aides ensure that all sanitation procedures and rules for hygiene are followed, such as frequently washing their hands and keeping their appearance clean
Friendly demeanor – interacting with co-workers, all employees, guests and patients, Food and Nutrition aides have a personable and friendly demeanor, creating a positive experience while be a team player.
Physical dexterity – Food and Nutrition aides prepare food, push carts, and carry trays, requiring physical dexterity and the ability to lift, pull, push, and bend as needed
