Summary
As a Behavior Technician at Mercy Plus Healthcare Services, you will play a vital role in supporting children and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. This position involves implementing personalized care plans designed to help clients reach their highest potential, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans for clients under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home and community environments.
- Monitor client progress and document behavioral data accurately.
- Collaborate with families and other professionals to promote effective communication and support strategies.
- Assist in developing skills that enhance independence and quality of life for clients.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Background in special education or related fields is a plus.
