Job Summary and Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Speech Pathologist participates as a member of the health care team working with professional non-professional staff and associated professionals in providing care which provides optimum home care and continuity of care to referred patients addressing the age of the patients served.
Job Requirements
**Offering a 4,000 Sign-on Bonus and/or Relocation Allowance for qualified applicants
Minimum Qualifications:
- Long-term care experience
- 1 year experience as a speech therapist
- Current licensure by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance as a speech and language pathologist
- Current BLS CPR certification (Must be through the American Heart Association)
- Knowledge and ability to perform a speech pathology assessment and evaluation
- Knowledge of principles, concepts, diagnostic, and therapeutic techniques for speech therapy
- Ability to implement practical application of knowledge
- Ability to function independently and autonomously
- Ability to communicate in writing and verbally in English
- Ability to teach and instruct patient family and staff
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 months to one year home health experience

Where You'll WorkMercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is a member of the Dignity Health system of health care providers and is a not-for-profit medical facility. We are designated as a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital and are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health care Organizations.
