Responsibilities

The Systems Analyst II formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on user needs. The analyst has a good understanding of industry requirements and applicable clinical/business/infrastructure systems, including those that process confidential patient and quality improvement that is protected and confidential by federal and/or state law. The analyst devises or modifies systems to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity, capabilities, limitations, cost-effectiveness and desired results. Provides analysis of clinical, business, and user needs, regulatory requirements, documentation requirements, and translation of those requirements into proper system requirement specifications suitable for the technical staff. Leads information technology deployment and optimization efforts based on the organization's clinical, infrastructure and business performance improvement objectives. Provides clinical, technical and/or business subject matter expertise to translate data into information and actionable knowledge in the daily practice.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• Education and Work Experience:
• BS or BA in related field
• Minimum of 2 years working with clinical and/or financial applications within a healthcare/physician practice environment preferred OR 3-5 years of relevant clinical, business or technical experience.
• Demonstrated progressive experience with information systems; healthcare environment preferred.
• Strong analytic and organizational skills, particularly in planning, communications, process redesign and problem-solving.
• Must have proven ability to work with nursing, clinical providers, technical and/or business professionals.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of users who have varying levels of computer expertise.
• Ability to implement and adhere to best practices in information technology system integrity and build standards.

Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following:

• Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel
• Microsoft Outlook
• Meditech (if applicable to position)
• Epic (if applicable to position)
• Performance Manager/NetLearning
• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
• Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
• Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
