Position Summary
This is an exciting time to join Mercy as the organization builds upon the momentum of its 150th anniversary and continues to strengthen employee connection and engagement across the system. The Employee Engagement Coordinator is a newly created position that supports the planning, coordination, and execution of employee engagement initiatives across Mercy Health Services. This role focuses on coordinating employee engagement activities and initiatives that support participation, recognition, and service across the organization, with particular emphasis on transitioning the We Are 150 employee engagement initiative, originally launched in celebration of Mercy’s 150th anniversary, into an ongoing and sustainable effort that continues to strengthen connection and culture across Mercy.
Reporting to the Director of Corporate and Community Engagement, this position works collaboratively with colleagues across the organization to support employee participation and institutional engagement efforts.

Key Responsibilities
Employee Engagement (Internal Focus)
- Coordinate and support internally focused employee engagement initiatives, campaigns, and activities across Mercy Health Services.
- Support the ongoing integration of the We Are 150 employee engagement initiative into current and future internal employee engagement efforts.
- Assist with planning and logistics for employee-focused engagement events, service opportunities, and recognition activities.
- Coordinate schedules, timelines, materials, and communications related to internal employee engagement initiatives.
- Track employee participation and engagement data to support reporting and evaluation.
- Provide logistical and on-site support for employee engagement activities as needed.
- Coordinate employee engagement pop-up shops and Mercy spirit wear initiatives in alignment with employee engagement events and campaigns.
- Manage logistics related to pop-up shops, including scheduling, setup, sales coordination, and on-site support.
- Track inventory, coordinate reorders, and maintain records related to employee merchandise and spirit wear.
- Collaborate with internal partners to ensure merchandise offerings align with Mercy branding, messaging, and engagement goals.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Mercy Health Services to support employee engagement initiatives.
- Maintain timelines, task lists, and documentation to ensure smooth execution of activities.
- Assist with post-event follow-up, data tracking, and evaluation summaries related to employee engagement efforts.
- Represent Mercy Health Services professionally in interactions with employees and internal partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Commitment to the mission and values of Mercy Health Services and the Sisters of Mercy.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience supporting projects, events, communications, or administrative functions preferred; relevant internships, volunteer experience, or campus involvement welcomed.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative, dependable, and eager to learn.
- Comfort working with a wide range of internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn internal systems.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as engagement activities require.
