Responsibilities
The Dermatology Medical Assistant and Scribe supports dermatologists by performing both clinical and administrative duties. This dual role involves preparing patients for examination, assisting with dermatologic procedures, documenting physician-patient encounters, and ensuring efficient clinic workflow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced medical environment.The Medical Assistant will assist providers with medical and cosmetic dermatology procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure a high-quality clinical experience for all patients.

- Greet and room patients; obtain medical history
- Assist providers with dermatologic exams, biopsies, and procedures
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and supplies
- Handle specimen labeling and ensure proper documentation
- Support front desk operations, including scheduling and patient inquiries
- Maintain inventory and ensure clinical areas are organized and stocked
- Medication prior authorizations and refill requests
- manages mychart inbaskets and requests
- Education and Work Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- A minimum of one year experience is preferred as a Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic
- Certification Requirements:
- CPR-preferred
- Age Specific Care Provided For:
