Responsibilities
The Data Analyst will work as a member of the Clinical Economics team within Mercy’s Department of Finance. The selected candidate will identify, collect, and synthesize data from various hospital platforms to promote and ensure efficiency in the hospital’s revenue cycle (i.e. processes beginning from the patient registration to the collections from insurance payers). In addition, the Data Analyst will provide analytical support to develop and track new initiatives with respect to clinical care and the improvement of both patient health and financial outcomes. To meet various federal, state, and industry requirements, the Data Analyst will assist in the preparation of reports intersecting the areas of clinical care, population health, pharmacy, and clinical economics/finance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to: Think creatively of ways to utilize data to address Mercy’s priorities Translate large and varying sets of data into a simplified message Work effectively on both assignments with tight deadlines and those with longer-term objectives Learn and adapt to multiple data platforms Work efficiently on multiple assignments and projects Work both collaboratively with like-minded colleagues and also independently on discrete projects Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.

Requirements
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from accredited institution
- Must demonstrate clear aptitude and desire to work in an environment requiring analytical skills
- Healthcare experience a plus
- Epic experience a plus
