We are seeking a dependable and experienced Mechanic to join our Christian non-profit auto center. This position is more than repairing vehicles — it is an opportunity to mentor and train men in automotive repair skills while helping transform lives through faith, hard work, and service to the community.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicles including brakes, suspension, engine components, electrical systems, oil changes, and general maintenance
- Perform inspections and ensure repairs are completed safely and efficiently
- Teach and mentor men learning automotive repair and basic mechanic skills
- Demonstrate professionalism, patience, leadership, and strong work ethic
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Help guide trainees in workplace responsibility, teamwork, and life skills
- Assist with inventory, tools, and shop organization
- Support the mission and values of the ministry
Qualifications
- Experience as an automotive mechanic or technician
- Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle issues
- Willingness to teach, mentor, and encourage men in a training environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Dependable, honest, and team-oriented
- Valid driver’s license
- ASE certifications
- Must support the Christian mission and values of the organization
