Position Purpose:
Job Description Details:
Position Summary: Under general direction, according to established procedures, performs non-invasive ultrasound scans to assist physicians in the diagnosis of medical disorders. Performs related clerical and service duties. Qualifications: Current CPR skills; level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of two years of college level training in radiologic technology or an allied medical health field including course e work in anatomy and physiology; one year of specialized training and experience in order to acquire suitable knowledge of anatomy and physiology, an in-depth knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and expertise in scanning procedures and techniques; certification by the American Registry of Sonographers or equivalent.
