What Will You be Doing?
- Document in the Electronic Medical Record while following established and standardized protocols.
- Participate in emergency care of patients including applying oxygen, retrieving and setting up AED, and participating in BLS.
- Acquire patient vital signs including heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, weight, height, and temperature.
- Work at the direction of the providers and teammates to accomplish patient care tasks and maintain workflow.
- Determine necessary paperwork for appointments and proactively provide assistance to patients completing paperwork.
- Actively participating in care center protocols including HIPAA, universal blood, and body fluid precautions, etc.
- 2 years of medical assistant experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain with 90 days of employment.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Ability to use and document in our Electronic Medical Record.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and clinical skills, and the ability to work with a wide variety of people.
- Practice safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.
- Work with the nursing team to achieve quality improvement by proactively looking for ways to improve patient flow, quality of care, safety, and health.
